About Us

Fujian Taiwan Culture and Commerce Association was founded in 2019 in Baltimore to commemorate the pioneering Chinese settlers who left their home in Fujian region in southeastern China for better opportunities and life overseas. Early Fujian settlers went to Taiwan and colonies in Southeast Asia run by European countries to provide labor to fulfill demands of growing industrialized economy and plantation; over time, they built commerce networks between their new homeland and Fujian and always seek opportunities to thrive in the new land and improve the situation at home.

The spirit of endeavor and building commerce are major characteristics of Fujian-Taiwan immigrants. The founding members came together to establish FTCCA to remember our common tradition, the hardship our predecessors endured, and the continuous drive for a better life and industry building.

FTCCA believes in cooperation and enhancement of trade networks worldwide, building a new partnership of exchange that will shape the new marine trade culture and educate new generation entrepreneurs to innovate new ideas to elevate and transform 21st-century global commerce.
